Pomarrosa Coffee is grown at the foot of the highest mountain in Puerto Rico, Cerro Punta (1,338 meters). Our coffee plantation, or cafetal, is located at an altitude of about 1, 000 meters, caring the cooling breezes of the Caribbean Sea. Clouds in the afternoons and the shade of the trees reduce the heat of the sun and allow the coffee to develop slowly. The soil is ideally suited for Arabica coffee, surrounded by some of the best coffee growing areas in Puerto Rico. Coffee has grown in this area for centuries.
